LondOn vol. 1, as in: where to sleep :)

We are starting with the very last trip we did - London. It is definitely one of our most beloved cities. Even though we feel like Cinderella's ugly sisters in London, we both love going back there again and again.

Whenever you are travelling on a budget to London, the biggest issue is where to stay. So far, we've tried 3 different places to sleep. Firat place we've been to, Generator Hostel London, was near British Museum. Perfect location, but nothing else. It looked like prison. It was, by far, the worst hostel/hotel we've ever been to. Period. Never again!

Our room in Willesden
The second place we've booked was in Willesden, some 25mins from London by underground. Pretty long commute, but a neat place to stay. Small room, but very functional. It even had a kitchenette!
The best/weirdest thing about our room was the shower. Damn, that was an adventure! U had this small shower thingy mounted to the ceiling in the bathroom (which was the size of a wardrobe!) and some leavers to set the water temperature and decide if u want to use the shower or the sink.
Unfortunately, The Stay Club @Willesden isn't available on booking.com anymore :( But if u ever going to study in London, go for The Stay Club!

The hostel from outside
This time we had to find a new place to stay.  Again. After a long search, we've decided to stay in Stratford. It's the new up and coming neighbourhood of London. And it's awesome! Quaint, pretty, with two underground lines plus other travel options... And mere 20mins from Oxford Street! King's Head, our hostel, was located 10mins from the nearest underground station, Stratford Central. It may seem far, but it really wasn't. We are pretty lazy and long commuting is not our style, but Stratford is actually the best budget choice for London! Way cheaper than staying downtown, and pretty close to everything important.
